Ring is adding another strong option to its lineup of video doorbells. We’ll let you know everything about the Ring Battery Doorbell Plus.
Higher Resolution and a Wider Field of View
The headlining feature of the new Battery Doorbell Plus is the 150-degree by 150-degree field of view. That will allow you to see a complete head-to-toe view of all visitors and additional objects.
It also sports a 1536p resolution, the highest of any Ring doorbell for a clear view of what’s happening. There is also color night vision to see your visitors even after it gets dark.
Anyone with a Ring Protect subscription can also make use of Package Alerts. You can automatically be notified via the Ring app when a package is located at a designated area in the doorbell’s field of view.
For more information about the subscription plans available for Ring users, make sure to take a look at our comparison of Ring Protect Basic, Ring Protect Plus, and Ring Protect Pro.
The doorbell can be powered with a removable, rechargeable battery pack or with existing doorbell hardwiring. For maximum flexibility to install at your front door, a corner kit is also included.
Since Ring is an Amazon company, the doorbell features wide-ranging compatibility with Echo devices. For example, anyone with an Amazon Echo Show can see, hear, and speak to anyone at your door. Alexa devices without a screen can be used to enable pre-recorded announcements to visitors or communicate with them in real-time.
